At the beginning of the 20th century, New York ophthalmologist Dr. William Bates began to question the official position of science. Over the years, he began to discover what natural vision is. It started by curing his own “senile farsightedness” (farsightedness that comes with age). He went on to treat a whole range of vision problems, and achieved results in a very short time.
In 1903, he discovered a simple technique that can prevent the development of myopia in most children. In 1920, he introduced the aforementioned technique into the school system in New York and managed to reduce the incidence of myopia by 70% in the first year.
